Dec 12 is a day to celebrate the birth of Kirt DeMar WOOD (1923-1987) husband and father of six. He was 8 when his 49 year old father died, and 47 when his mother died on his birthday. He was 63 at the time of his own death. "Papa" would be 88 years old today.

Dec 12 is a day to reverence the death of "Dee's" mother Laura Elizabeth PARKER WOOD (1889-1970). She was widowed at the age of 43, with five of her seven children to care for, the youngest was 6. She died at the age of 81.

Amy Ella HAWKES born 26 Dec 1897 Logan, Cache, Utah.

Daughter of Herbert Henry HAWKES and Sarah Amy JONES. Married first George Ensign SMITH (1889-1967) 27 Aug 1919 in the Logan Temple, they are the parents of four daughters and one son, and grandparents of twenty two. Married second widower Charles Horald MONSON (1887-1972) 27 Jan 1970 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah. Amy Ella HAWKES SMITH MONSON died 25 Jun 1971 Salt Lake City she was 73 years old. She is buried at Larkin-Sunset Lawn Cemetery, SLC.

Today is Kirt DeMar WOOD’s 84th birthday. Born 12 Dec 1923. His death at the age of 64 was 20 years 16 days ago. Died 26 Nov 1987. He and his wife both were born in the covenant, baptized, endowed and sealed to spouse in their own life time.

On Kirt’s 47th birthday his mother Laura Elizabeth PARKER WOOD died at the age of 81. Death 12 Dec 1970. Of Laura’s seven children the youngest is 82 and living. John Andrew WOOD had died at age 49 leaving Laura a widow for 38 years. Both were born in the covenant, baptized, endowed and sealed to spouse in their own life time.

Kirt’s wife Camilla SMITH WOOD was a widow for 11 years before her death in 1999. Their youngest child is 40 and their oldest child is 59. Today they have six children, and seven in-laws. Thirty grandchildren two decreased, and nineteen grandchildren in-laws. Thirty six great grandchildren one decreased. That is 98 descendants.
