January 3, 1958 Kanarra Grade School photos shared by Bruce Fayette PARKER (1903-1983) with his older sister Laura Elizabeth PARKER WOOD (1889-1970).  Most likely Bruce Parker who became an Attorney at Law is picture in the next three class pictures.

LETTER reads in part: Thot I should write you a few lines to let you know who the pictures were from.  You may be able to identify many of the school children, I am able to most of them.

Believed to be the wedding celebration for John Davis PARKER and Effa Mariah MULLINER in Kannaraville, UT they were married 1 June 1915 St. George, UT. Seated on the right are "Dee" parents Charles PARKER Sr. and Elizabeth Ann DAVIS. One can assume the parents of Effa are standing on the left they are Margrette Allena DAVIES and Robert Madison MULLINER.

Because of the DAVIES/DAVIS relationship of their mothers John Davis PARKER and Effa Mariah MULLINER are third cousins as well as spouses. Their common ancestors are George MORRIS and Catherine ANTHONY.

Obituary Notice, Charles Parker

Kanarraville, Utah home of Charles and Elizabeth Ann DAVIS PARKER, built of bricks hand made by Charles PARKER Jr. at his grandfather James George DAVIS' Kanarra brick yard. In Charles PARKER's last years he sold the house to his son John Davis PARKER (Dee). Charles PARKER lives here with his son Dee's family until his death 15 May 1935.


DUP Obituary Scrapbook (1933-1939)

Charles Parker, 30 Dec 1853 - 15 May 1935
KANARRAVILLE--Funeral services for Charles Parker, 81,
early settler of Kanarraville, were conducted Saturday in the
Kanarra L. D. S. ward chapel. Burial took place in the local
cemetery.

Mr. Parker died May 15 at the home of his son,
John Davis Parker, of Kanarraville, of causes incident to age.

He was born in Centerville December 30. 1853, a son
of John Davis and Sophia Almedia Roundy Parker.
He served in the Black Hawk Indian war under
Captain Lorenzo Roundy. He assisted in the construction
and settlement of the old Kanarra fort, now the town of Kanarraville.
His wife. Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Davis Parker, died in 1927.

Surviving are four sons and five daughters,
Charles Jr., John Davis and Cecil Ray Parker and
Mrs. Ahlena Williams, all of Kanarraville;
Mrs. Zina Pollock, Mrs. Esther Robb and
Mrs. Laura Wood, all of Salt Lake City;
Mrs. Sophia Stapley, Castlegate. and
Bruce F. Parker, now in Tarkwa, Gold Coast.
West Africa; 38 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
