Able PARKER's 4 horse team was "pressed" into service for Maj. Wool.  [John E. Wool was not a General until the Civil War.]  John d. Stepped up and volunteered to drive the wagon.  On 15 June 1813 at the age of 13 John Davis PARKER signed up to serve as a teamster at Greenbush, New York.  He served a full eighteen months.  

Description of John Davis PARKER: about 5 feet tall with black hair, blue eyes, and having a dark complexion at the time he signed up to drive the wagon.
