close up of Herbert Henry Hawkes builder
Herbert built his own home in Logan and also built a home for his oldest daughter when she married. That house was used by many of her siblings when they married.

Hyde Home at Hyde Park,UT

Herbert Hawkes was hired to build the home for the Charles Hyde family around 1908. Three generations of family lived in this home and it was loved by many many grandchildren! It featured a library, large bedrooms with huge walk-in closets, and two sleeping porches. It was built with a covered side porch, and big farm kitchen. There was a large kitchen sink with swinging seat attached and a builtin flour bin cabinet. From the front huge bedroom you could see the Logan Temple lite up on the hill! The home is no longer owned by the Hyde or Waite family. (Vickie Mather Prows)
